Abstract: 

In this paper, a novel risk-based, two-objective (technical and economical) optimal reactive POWER dispatch method in a wind-integrated POWER system is proposed which is more consistent with operational criteria.  The technical objective includes the minimization of the new voltage instability risk index. The economical objective includes cost minimization of reactive POWER generation and active POWER loss. The proposed voltage instability risk employs a hybrid possibilistic (Delphi-Fuzzy)-probabilistic approach that takes into consideration the operator’s experience, the wind speed and demand forecast uncertainties when quantifying the risk index. The decision variables are the reactive POWER resources of the system. To solve the problem, the modified multi-objective particle swarm optimization algorithm with sine and cosine acceleration coefficients is utilized. The method is implemented on the modified IEEE 30-bus system. The proposed method is compared with those in the previously published literature, and the results confirm that the proposed risk index is better at estimating the voltage instability risk of the system, especially in cases with severe impact and low probability. In addition, according to the simulation results compared to typical security-based planning, the proposed risk-based planning may increase the security and economy of the system due to better utilization of system resources.

Abstract: 

The use of lightweight and light weight block ciphers in the Internet of Things is inevitable. Recently, Midori64 has received a lot of attention among other lightweight ciphers due to its very low POWER consumption. Midori64 security has been threatened by various attacks, including side channel attacks. One of the types of side channel attacks is CORRELATION POWER analysis, in which an attacker can discover the encryption key by using the POWER leak of the cryptographic chip while the algorithm is running, data being processed and operations being executed. Masking against POWER analysis attacks is known as one of the most effective methods of cryptographic algorithms. The purpose of the mask is to disrupt the relationship between POWER consumption and ongoing operations. In this paper, an implemented version of the Midori64 code on an Atmega32 AVR micro-controller is attacked by CORRELATION POWER analysis, and an encryption key with 300 blocks of plain text is discovered. After masking the Midori64 with the Boolean masking method, the attack was performed again, and the experimental results showed that the Boolean masking method could prevent key discovery.

Abstract: 

Purpose: To evaluate the CORRELATION between corneal POWER and corneal horizontal white to white diameter in myopic patients scheduled for LASIK surgery. Methods: Overall, in 840 eyes of 420 myopic subjects scheduled for LASIK, horizontal white to white diameter and mean corneal POWER were obtained using Orbscan II. Pearson CORRELATION test and regression analysis were used to detect any CORRELATION between corneal POWER and corneal diameter. Results: Mean spherical equivalent refractive error was -4.56±1.4 (range, -1 to -10.75) diopter, while mean keraometeric value was 43.69±1.5 (range, 40-47.2). A significant negative linear CORRELATION was found between corneal POWER and white to white diameter as follows: corneal diameter=65.79- (1.88xcorneal POWER); R=0.204. Conclusion: The negative linear CORRELATION between mean corneal POWER and corneal white to white diameter may have clinical implications in refractive surgery for selection of a suitable microkeratome.

هدف از اجرای این طرح آماده سازی کد مورد نیاز برای نرم افزار چاه آزمایی و همچنین تهیه نرم افزاری جهت محاسبه خواص سیالات مخزن توسط روابط تجربی است. جهت کد نویسی این برنامه از زبان ویژوال بیسیک استفاده شده است. روابط تجربی موجود در کتب مختلف جمع آوری و بهترین و دقیق ترین آنها جهت استفاده در نرم افزار انتخاب شده اند. کاربر با انتخاب نام رابطه تجربی که غالبا نام شخص ابداع کننده آن است می تواند مقادیر خواص سیالات نفتی (آب، نفت، و گاز) را محاسبه نماید. نتایج حاصل از این طرح جهت استفاده در نرم افزار چاه آزمایی مود استفاده قرار می گیرد. به علاوه، این نرم افزار به تنهایی نیز می تواند به عنوان یک نرم افزار stand alone بکار رود.

Abstract: 

Authenticated encryption schemes provide both confidentiality and integrity services simultaneously. To design such schemes, the CAESAR competition was being held with six winners. One of the criteria for evaluation theses ciphers, besides general security, is the security against side-channel attacks, which has been studied less so far. The OCB authenticated cipher, one of the CAESAR’ s winners, has special security properties such as a tweakable block cipher based construction that makes the side-channel attacks challenging. In this paper, for the first time, a 7-stage CORRELATION POWER analysis (CPA) attack on nonce processing time is presented to indicate its vulnerability. For this purpose, OCB cipher is implemented on a SAKURA-G board. By measuring and collecting the POWER traces on S-box, a successful CPA attack with a zero-value POWER model is mounted and all bytes of the key are recovered.

Abstract: 

Investigation and explanation of the contribution of POWER sources (economic POWER, political POWER, social-cultural POWER, military POWER, territorial POWER, scientific and technological POWER, cross-border POWER, and spatial POWER) in the national POWER and their proper composition has always been a concern for the researchers of geography, international relations and so on. Therefore, in this research, efforts were made to identify and analyze the factors affecting national POWER and the relationship between them. Finally, after comprehensive and scientific studies, the most effective factors in the national POWER of selected countries were recognized with regard to the amount and severity of each of them as the following: civil POWER (rate: very high and intensity: 0. 93), spatial POWER (rate: high & intensity: 0. 84), cross-border POWER (rate: high & intensity: 0. 80) and economic POWER (rate: high & intensity: 0. 78). The present study is applied and its related research method correlates with the CORRELATION method. The statistical population of the research includes the tutors with academic rank of associate professors, assistant professors and trainers in the specialties and trends related to military sciences, strategic management, social sciences, geography and economics serving at the level of I. R. of Iran armed force. Using the Cochran formula, the population size of the sample was 133 individuals. The statistical sampling method is stratified random sampling. Data collection was done by using field and library methods, using documentation and records, interviewing the experts and a researcher-made questionnaire. The reliability of the questionnaire was calculated 0. 89 using the bisection method.

Abstract: 

In this paper, a new method for extending and relaxing the noise-coupling (NC) technique is proposed to enhance the noise-shaping order without adding the number of integrators. The noise-shaping order of the introduced ∑∆ modulator whit applying a second-order noise-coupling technique is enhanced and its performance with optimizing the noise transfer function (NTF) zeros is improved. Also, by removing the analog adder at feedforward path and transferring it to a new feedback branch before the last integrator and adding second-order NC path can be decreased the input voltage swing to the quantizer. Thus, by improving the modulator resolution, POWER consumption can be reduced. Mathematical analyses and behavioural simulation results confirm the effectiveness of the new NC method. To examine its performance, a 2nd-order single loop ΣΔ modulator was designed. The new noise-coupling method is used to achieve the three-order noise shaping to increase the resolution with low complexity and low-POWER. The results show an outstanding improvement in signal-to-noise and distortion ratio (SNDR) compared to the conventional structure.

Abstract: 

Wind POWER has been considered a future alternative to fossil energy resources. However, due to its stochastic nature, the integration of wind POWER plants (WPPs) into POWER systems poses some reliability problems such as a mismatch between load profile and efficient wind POWER generation. This issue can be alleviated by considering the CORRELATION between hourly load and wind speed variations in the planning phase. To this end, a reliability-based wind POWER planning procedure is proposed and formulated as a stochastic programming problem. The objective function is the minimization of total costs, including capital investment, operating and maintenance, and customer energy not served costs. A new hybrid method that combines features of the load-duration curve and the K-means clustering algorithm is proposed to model the uncertainty of the input data. A shuffled frog-leaping algorithm is used to solve the proposed model. The simulation results indicate that the amount of adaptation between hours with high loads and those with high wind speeds markedly affects the selection of wind sites as optimal locations for WPP installation. Considering this issue can also improve POWER system reliability in the presence of WPPs.

Abstract: 

Introduction: Transmyocardial Laser Revascularization (TMLR) has a good potential in treatment of some disease however the mechanism of action is not well known. Most probably channel's geometrical shape and thermal damage have an important role in its function. Unfortunately there have been significant discrepancies in the follow up results of TMLR.Materials & Methods: The Nd: YAG laser beam, with POWERs of 85w and 105w was delivered to left ventricle of sheep heart through a 500mm fiber optic. The fiber penetration speed into the tissue were 1.2mm/s and 2.4mm/s. Results and Discussion: All the channels had elliptical cross sections. The reduction of dimensions and surfaces of channels cross sections were statistically significant when the laser POWER increased and the fiber speed was kept constant. Channels cross sections were decreased by increasing of the fiber speed while the laser POWER was kept constant. Under the above conditions the differences in channel's cross-sections were not statistically significant.
